The history of the Residence La Ferriera began in the mid-nineteenth century. The structure was founded as a foundry for metal processing and the production of objects for agricultural use. The fumes produced by the metal fusion were dispersed through the large brick chimneys still visible today.
Then the production of Flour and the activity of Filanda was added. The silkworms for yarn production were bred inside the complex, only 30 years later.
